Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of ele
ctronic components. Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circ
uit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, documentat
ion of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and eva
luation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or
test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and orga
nizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer/client
requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing form
al education and judgement.
Should possess a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Additional q
ualifications include:Work closely with CKT architects on MIM planning, C4 Bump
planning, Top metal routing, power planning, ESD closureInteract with SoC integr
ation team to meet physical integration requirements Top level Floorplanning and
block integrationLayout and timing cleanupReliability verification Good communi
cation and organizational skills Excellent Team work and customer orientation sk
